Most of you have wondered even once in your lifetime that why you can’t keep perfect lashes forever? Many of you also have to think about ‘why lash extensions fall out’? Well, the truth is within you! Your natural lashes are the culprits and your extensions fall out with them, yes you heard it right1 your own natural eyelashes are the culprits. But the question arises why you have never noticed your natural lashes falling out before having lash extensions? The answer to this question is simple when any of our natural lashes is about to fall, a new one grows in replacement– almost of the same size, so it is difficult to spot the difference on the daily basis. Your lash extensions are always longer and darker than your natural lashes, so the gaps in your lashes get more obvious and you notice outgrown lashes on your pillow, most likely– ahh. Such a loss! So when it comes to your mind that your natural lashes are falling out because of the lash extensions, you need to understand that they actually don’t. There is no need to worry, it’s not the lash extensions that are causing your lashes to fall out, it’s simply a natural process without any side effect.
The lash extension process is called a lash cycle. There are 3 phases in lash growth: the first one is Anagen Phase that lasts between 30-40 days until the lash reaches its full length, Catagen Phase is the second phase in which lash is pushed upwards, disconnecting from the blood supply and it might take up to 3 weeks and Telogen Phase, the final stage of the lash cycle finishing with lash falling out and it takes up to 14 weeks.
Everyone has a different lash cycle and so your own natural lash cycle, and aftercare will affect how long your lash extensions last. Lash extensions should not be applied to baby lashes as they are too timid and thin to hold additional lash. The weight of the lash extensions is also not the reason why your lashes fall so quickly!
In general, the lash extensions are not responsible to pull out your natural eyelashes. But if you pull on the extensions, your natural lashes may come off along with them. But don’t worry because your natural lashes grow back easily after some time. Don’t ever try to remove the lash extensions yourself; otherwise, you will pull out your natural lashes along with the extensions too. The human eye has about 200 lashes that grow in 3 rows and have a lifespan of 60 to 90 days.
Want your lash extensions to last for longer? Do avoid rubbing your eyes as it may cause them to fall out. Make sure that you are taking care of your lash extensions as advised by your expert so that they don’t fall and lasts longer.
